The day saw ex professional GB players came to the club to provide on court coaching clinics, which were enjoyed by all, followed by a exciting exhibition match.

A total of £750 was raised going towards the clubs floodlight appeal. What a great day!

Cancer Research Fundraiser, 4th May

Charnwood Tennis Club held a special Cancer Research charity tournament on Sunday 4th May raising over £1,000.

The event was held in memory of much loved and respected former club member, George Mears who, sadly, passed away last year following a four year battle with oesophageal cancer. His wife and two sons remain prominent members at the Club so it was no surprise that there was such a great turn-out.

Winners of the event were Val Green and Nick Barham.

The Club hopes to raise more money during the year with other events planned.

Tennis for Nepal, 13 June 2015

Following the tragic events and aftermath of the earthquake in Nepal two local tennis players have been moved to try and help in some small way. They will be completing a 24 hour doubles tennis marathon starting at 2pm on the 13th June at Rothley Ivanhoe Tennis Club.

Why not join them to support and donate or to play them and donate. Every donation makes a difference!
